“There is no enlightenment outside of daily life.”
Thich Nhat Hanh

Hello all and welcome to my weekly journal. This week I spent time with Thich Nhat Hanh, checked out the Japan Film Festival, listening to Quist, Corea, McFerrin and more…

1. My reading pleasure came from Thich Nhat Hanh. I am reading Present Moment Wonderful Moment; I am in the moment!

2. I am listening to Quist and using his fantastic backing tracks to jam with my harmonicas in many different keys.

3. The Japan Foundation is putting on a film festival and I am watching animated features.

4. Palouse Mindfulness offers a free mindfulness course. I have completed the course and I revisit it often. The sessions have gone virtual, like everything else these days, the January session of this year set me the right path.

Speaking of virtual, a shout out to Audrey Thomas-Ashman of Ashman Assistance. Audrey and her firm pointed me in the right direction when I first got involved in social media. Their focus is on food bloggers now. I highly recommend Audrey Thomas-Ashman.

5. I just heard the news that Chick Corea passed away and I felt deep sorrow; RIP maestro. I spent many weekends jamming with Chick during his living room sessions.

Chick Corea and Bobby McFerrin jamming to Armando’s Rhumba #2.
