THE WORD ON THE BAY on Saturday the 18th of April 2026, a prequel to CollingWord 2026, at the L.E. Shore Library in Thornbury, Ontario.
When: 1000 – 1600 hrs, 18 April 2026
Where: L.E. Shore Library, 173 Bruce St. S, Thornbury, ON
Free Admission! All Writers and Readers Welcome!
The program will feature:
1010 – 1100 hrs: Money Tips for Writers – A panel discussion about the practical financial aspects of writing for publication;
1110 – 1200 hrs: Putting Oompf into your Descriptions – A presentation on how to grab a reader’s imagination with vivid, lyrical prose;
1200 – 1300 hrs: Lunch Break – Bring your own lunch and mingle.
1300 – 1345 hrs: Coming Attractions – Upcoming appearances and book releases and a sneak peek at CollingWord 2026;
1345 – 1515 hrs: The Great Flash Fiction Relay Contest – teams of five competing for a valuable prize.
1515 – 1600 hrs: Survey and sign-up forms
