“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.” – Oscar Wilde

Hello all and welcome to my monthly journal, coming to you one week early. This month I am pleased to report I have joined a talented group of middle-grade and young adult book authors offering their amazing books at great prices. My new book Dojo in the Woods is on sale as part of a Kindle countdown deal.

3. The Sweetwater Music Festival in Owen Sound took place all last week. I managed to take in one night of live music at two venues. The Georgian Shores United Church played host to Concertos & Songs For The Ages and featured cellist Elinor Frey. The 2nd concert occurred at the nearby Heartwood Concert Hall and featured the Roberto Occhipinti Jazz Trio.

4. I  am crazy about waterfalls, and since I was in Owen Sound, I knew Sauble Falls was nearby. After the concerts and an evening in a motel. We set out for Sauble Falls. And afterward, a coffee and pastry at Sauble Beach. Sauble Beach has one of the best and longest freshwater beaches in the world.

5. I have been accepted by Sheridan College as a mentor to a writing student. This was an opportunity presented by my writer’s group. The Writer’s Community of York Region, WCYR.

Speaking of writers’ groups, I recently spent an evening with the group close to my writing sanctuary, the Wasaga Beach Writers Group. Great to see the exuberance of the writers involved. I’m looking forward to attending more meetings.
Thank you for reading; if you know of someone who may be interested in this please share. I hope to see you at the Creemore Arts Festival, or one of the other events I’ll be attending.

Be well, stay safe, and keep reading.
