Hello all and a warm welcome to my monthly journal by PaulYanuziello. My month has been good and I would like to share with you all some significant updates. I’m still only going to share 5 points of interest, things that I think you may find helpful or interesting.
1. My new children’s e-book Scratchy the Squirrel: A Time for Friends is part of a group promotion, Fun Adventure Books for Kids, for a limited time get it free.
Stock up for the summer, and get some fun kids’ books.
You will be asked to sign up for my newsletter again, that’s just the way it is, don’t feel you have to unsubscribe and then re-subscribe, that’s not required.
2. This is the season of artisan markets, farmer’s markets and book fairs and I have joined a couple of them, the 1st one is happening close to me, at the New Earth Village Artisan Market.
I am excited to meet and greet everyone, sell some books, read my new book to the children and just be at one with nature.
3. I have reviewed some children’s books and these are some of my reviews and the authors that I follow: There are some amazing ones out there.
4. 2022 Hot Docs Film Festival, well, it came and it went, these were the films I watched: Rewind and Play (Winner – Best Mid-Length Documentary Award) a fascinating glimpse into the man and the music of T.S Monk.
Nothing Compares follows the career of singer Sinéad O’Connor.
We Feed People, is about the work of award-winning Spanish chef José Andrés. He’s also the founder of the nonprofit organization World Central Kitchen.
The Thief Collector is about the 1985 theft of Willem de Kooning’s famous painting, “Woman Ochre.”
Canadian Artistic Journeys – Shorts and World Showcase Shorts: Tales From the Wilds.
A few of my thoughts on these films.
5. Celebrating Africa Day with a storytelling performance by Mara Menzies, a gift from my friends at Settle Stories.
The storytelling is for primary schools, homeschooled children or anyone who loves a good story. This special presentation is available for free up to June 8th.
Mara is one of the best storytellers and children are sure to enjoy her magical ways.
